The Lickey Hills Rotary Club has been donating to us at NCP for several years now, and we cannot thank them enough for their continued generosity.
We asked them to tell us a little about who they are: The Rotary Club of Lickey Hills has been serving the people of Rubery, Rednal, Longbridge, Lickey Hills, Northfield & beyond for over 50 years. We meet regularly on a Monday evening at Hills Court on Rose Hill, and you can contact us on 07412 668232. As a Rotary Club we support many projects both at home and abroad while having a lot of fun at the same time.
They stated, "We first heard about NCP when we had a speaker from the local Job Centre who told us what a good job you did supporting those in need across Northfield and beyond."
We asked them what inspired them to choose our charity for their fundraising efforts, and they told us “We were eligible for a grant from Rotary International which allowed us to double any money we gave to our local Food Bank and we have been supporting you for 6 years (we have just put in our application for a grant to continue doing this in the next Rotary year). We first started when you were based in the kitchen area of your offices on Northfield high street, followed you to Kings Norton during lockdown and are still with you today.”
They told us that their biggest highlights of working with us is “probably that we've become recognized by various other organizations, such as the WI, Victoria School, and a collection of local churches, who bring us items to pass on to you (including their harvest festival collections). Additionally, when we collect at local supermarkets, you are recognized by the public as an organization that deserves support.”
Thanks to their ongoing generous donations, our food bank has continued to be well stocked! Our food bank allows us to provide essential sustenance to those in need. Any, and all, donations are extremely appreciated. Thank you to everyone at the Rotary Club! 💚
